Dr hab Anna Skurska

I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of the Medical University of Białystok in 2005.

 Since 2006 I have been an employee of the Department of Periodontium and Oral Mucosa Diseases at the Medical University of Białystok. Since 2012 I have been working there as an assistant professor. I am a member of research teams conducting numerous scientific projects in the Department of Periodontal Diseases and Oral Mucosa of the Medical University of Białystok.

In 2009 I defended my PhD thesis: “Evaluation of the effect of ozone therapy on the clinical condition of the periodontium and the concentration of selected MMPs in the saliva of patients with aggressive and chronic periodontitis”, obtaining the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences.

In 2011 I gained the title of specialist in periodontology. I am the author of dozens of publications and conference reports at home and abroad. As part of this activity, I received the award of the Rector of the Medical University of Białystok for scientific achievements in 2012 and 2015.

After graduation, I broadened my knowledge by participating in numerous courses and trainings in Poland and abroad, e.g. in Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, USA and UK. I had a training internship at the University of Milan (Italy) and at the Kois Center in Seattle (USA). I participated in the first International Master’s Program in Periodontology led by Prof. Giovanni Zucchelli at the University of Bologna, Italy.  I am a member of the Polish Society of Periodontology and the European Federation of Periodontology.
