Dr Paweł Niewada, MD
Owner and manager of NIEWADA CLINIC – Implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry. I am a graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw. A specialist in periodontology. In my practice, I deal with implantology, treatment of periodontitis, periodontal plastic microsurgery, as well as treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, occlusion and aesthetic prosthetic treatment, where I use minimally invasive techniques. In addition to aesthetic prosthetics and occlusion, my interests include periodontology and dental surgery with particular emphasis on microsurgical treatment of gingival recessions, periodontal and bone regeneration techniques as well as implants and peri-implant surgery. In 2010 I became a specialist in periodontology, and in 2014 I defended my doctoral thesis on “Evaluation of the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of periodontitis. My professional experience is the result of work, many trainings and practical courses in implantology-periodontology centres in the country and abroad. I am the first person from Poland to graduate from LEVEL II and III of OBI (Orognathic Bioesthetics International, USA ).
I completed the full MAGO splint treatment programme (LEVELII) at OBI- Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry – Institute for Comprehensive Occlusal Diagnosis & Minimally Invasive Complete Care Dentistry, USA. Institute promoting the philosophy of BIOESTHETIC treatment, whose author was Robert L. Lee, MS, DDS, a recognised expert in prosthetic treatment in the USA. I completed a programme of total prosthetic rehabilitation of the oral cavity according to the bioaesthetic concept (Level III OBI), as well as a curriculum of morphology for bioaesthetic technicians, during which I learned how to correctly wax up the anatomy of teeth, which I now find extremely helpful in my everyday work. I have been interested in the subject of occlusion for over 10 years. In 2015 I became a graduate of the Dawson Academy curriculum. Before that, I worked using the philosophy of John Kois. Together with a group of the first Polish orthodontists, participating in San Sebastian in Curriculum Face organised by Domingo Martin, I had the opportunity to learn, during a module devoted to the cooperation between the orthodontist and the prosthodontist, the philosophy of bioaesthetic treatment, which fascinated me. Since then, the puzzle in my head has come together. The orthodontist’s work and my work as a prosthodontist have taken on a new dimension. Only now, after learning bioesthetics, do I feel a fulfilled doctor who has understood how helpful it is to complete the orthodontist’s work and how fruitful this cooperation can be. To this end, I have tried for many years to use minimally invasive techniques to prepare tooth tissue for veneers, onlays and 360 veneers.
I have completed numerous clinical internships and training sessions at, amongst others University of North Carolina (USA) Private Institute of Periodontology and Implantology Munich (Germany), Dental School and Hospital at Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland), Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Städtliches Klinikum Karlsruhe (Germany) and Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark, Urban Regeneration Institute, Budapest (Hungary), where I developed my interests in implantology, hard tissue surgery of the alveolar process and microsurgical techniques in soft tissue management. I gained my experience with immediate loads on implants by completing the “Implant prosthodontics program” at the Mediterranean Prosthodontic Institute (2014).
In 2017, I completed a one-year international lecturer program at one of the leading implant companies Dentsply Implants. I am an active member of the Polish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry- PASE. I serve as a theme editor of the periodontology section in the magazine ” E-dentico”. I am licensed to practice dentistry in both Poland and Germany (Approbationsurkunde Baden-Württemberg).
